About Us
The Texas Medical Center Women's Health Network (TMC WHN) is a 501(c)(3) organization of health professionals dedicated to advancing women's health through collaborations in education, research, and advocacy.
The TMC WHN Definition of Women's Health
The WHN model of women's health integrates traditional biomedical approaches with gender-specific experiences across the life span. Thus, women's health encompasses woman-centered, multidimensional approaches to diseases, disorders, and conditions that affect females, as well as social, economic, and cultural factors that impact the wellbeing of women and girls.
Our Vision
We envision the elimination of sex and gender disparities in health and health care.
Our Mission
We are health professionals dedicated to advancing women's health through interdisciplinary, inter-institutional collaborations in education, research, and advocacy.
