Barbara Lavery, Ph.D. is the Director of World Wide Coaching Services for Personnel Decisions International (PDI). She is responsible for delivering executive coaching services across North America, as well as building the coaching capabilities of PDI’s 160 coaching team members globally. She coaches in numerous Fortune 500 companies and specializes in working with individuals who are in emerging leadership roles or are in significant change agent positions. Before joining PDI, she worked for more than 20 years in a number of private and non-profit mental health settings, both as a direct service provider and in mental health management. As the Clinical Director of a community mental health agency for over eight years, she was responsible for the development, training and ongoing coaching of professional staff and student interns. In addition, she was responsible for community education, marketing initiatives, operations management, grant writing, program development and evaluation. Barbara holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Illinois Wesleyan University; a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology from Eastern Illinois University and a Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology from the University of Houston. She has provided professional training at numerous regional and national conferences.
