Diane Wardell Bio

Diane Wind Wardell, PhD, RNC, is Associate Professor of Nursing at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, Department of Integrative Nursing Care. The School of Nursing is ranked in the top eight percent of nursing schools in the country. UT-Houston School of Nursing offers a BSN, MSN, DSN, and DNP degrees. Dr. Wardell is an educator with over 20 years of experience in the area of Women’s Health Care and clinical supervision of nurse practitioner students. She has a specific interest in complementary therapies. She holds a PhD from the Texas Woman’s University, Houston, Texas, a master’s in nursing, the State University of New York at Buffalo, and received her undergraduate degree from St. John College, Cleveland, Ohio. Honors include being part of the National Institutes of Health, National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine special emphasis panels. Her recent publications are in the area of energy based complementary therapies and spirituality.
