Nora Krisch Shire is a free-lance writer, editor and researcher producing news and feature stories as well as profiles on physicians and scientists. Activities have included coordinating community education programs and special events, writing public relations & marketing plans, writing television scripts, designing and writing annual reports and editing books. She is a graduate of Trinity University, San Antonio. Positions have included writer-editor in the Office of Community Affairs and Public Education at The University of Texas at Houston Medical School, a writer and media specialist for the Office of Public Affairs at the Harris County Hospital District, special events director for Boys and Girls Harbor, a writer-editor for the Lupus Foundation, Gulf Coast Chapter, and a reporter for both the former Houston Post and the Corpus Christi Caller-Times.
