Rachelle Nurse is the Nursing Director of Women, Infants & Pediatric Services at Ben Taub General Hospital and is a Woman’s Healthcare Nurse Practitioner with the Planned Parenthood of Houston and Southeast. She graduated with her Baccalaureate and Masters of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Texas Health Science Center – Houston and is certified as a Women’s Heath Care Nurse Practitioner. She holds a Masters in Science in Healthcare Administration from Houston Baptist University. Rachelle lectures at local schools of nursing on various reproductive healthcare topics and has presented on topics such as high-risk obstetrics, contraceptive technology, preconception care and nursing retention and recruitment in perinatal care. She actively advocates for improving services to enhance access to perinatal services for under and uninsured populations. Rachelle is the current Chapter Coordinator of the Houston Galveston Chapter of the Association of Women’s Health Obstetrical and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) and served as the current President-Elect of Texas Medical Center Women’s Health Network.
